Lead. A faithful, Choctaw elder who clings to ancestral stories as a protective shield for the loss she faced when she was younger. After her sister, Beth, vanished when they were kids, Nettie holds onto this belief that the Bokpolli (mythical people in the woods) had taken her. Nettie must go on a journey to confront the hard truth of who really took her sister and granddaughter.
