SYNOPSIS: Kevin Seward is still miserable over the break-up with his last girlfriend, Lucy Grossman. A friend convinces him to attend an "ugly Christmas sweater party" at a club in Albany. Not long after he arrives, a friend tells Kevin that his ex-girlfriend Lucy Grossman has arrived, so he decides to leave. On his way out, we experience two stories: one is of his encounters with the partygoers, the other consists of flashbacks to their time together. Soon the tension is so thick that the only way to break it would be if he ran into her...but what could be the outcome of such an encounter?

Late 30s/early 40s. Head nurse of a psychiatric ward. Mother of three. Kevin’s ex-girlfriend. She doesn’t say even half as much as Kevin, but when she does speak, every syllable counts. Even though Kevin is in every scene and talks the most, LUCY is the real hero of the play, not BECAUSE she appears and talks less, but because of her capacity to forgive.
If you are cast in this slot, you will actually get to play EIGHT CHARACTERS that Kevin encounters at the party. Each character appears in one scene, so that means you would do eight scenes total.
