About the project: Bones in the Ocean ~ On a dark night on the open sea, a storm approaches, as Huxford, the first mate, is in an intense argument with Captain Wilkinson and his orders. Huxford often disagrees with his captain and eagerly wants to take charge and be a better captain than Wilkinson. As the storm grows larger, it’s all hands-on deck. Wilkinson at the helm gives orders to the crew to continue their course, while Huxford gives his own orders. When suddenly the captain falls overboard just as a giant typhoon hits the ship. After being knocked out, Huxford awakens to see the ship has been wrecked, and some of the crew members are missing. Realizing his mistake, Huxford begins to experience guilt and tries to hide what he has done by taking control of the ship and its crew, until a new captain is voted in and elected. Tucker, the boatswain, notices something was off about Huxford, and finds drops of blood where Wilkinson once stood before falling overboard. After putting the pieces together, Tucker discovers that Wilkinson's demise was no accident. A tale of betrayal, ambition, and secrets beneath the waves… because dead men tell no tales. The highest-ranking officer, responsible for leading the crew and making major decisions. However, his ambitions are far too great, and vould often put his crew in danger. One fateful night, while on a charted course, a storm approaches and he decides to lead his men into danger. Unfortunately, his ambitions get the best of him, and he slips and falls overboard.
Responsible for the ship's rigging, sails, anchors, and stores. The boatswain was also responsible for supervising all tasks requiring seamanship. Tucker, who often kept silent and distant, notices every detail amongst the crew and the ship. While cleaning up the main deck after the shipwreck, he discovers a dark and terrible truth that could ultimately affect the crew's fate. He knows the crew could be in danger and secretly takes control as leader of the crew without Huxford knowing.
Huxford is second-in-command of the crew. Huxford disagrees with Wilkinson's leadership and has a desire for control, even while Wilkinson is in charge. During the storm, his rage and desire for control consumed him, and he tried to put an end to Wilkinson's leadership and overthrows the captain. Because of his selfishness, he leads the crew into a shipwreck, and tries to hide his guilt with his ranking of power as the new captain.
The captain's right-hand man, in charge of the crew when the captain was not around. After Wilkinson's unfortunate demise, Cliff is responsible for keeping track of the ship's supplies and goods. He also enforces the pirates code, which is a list of rules that prevents mutiny and maintains order among the pirate crew. Following these rules, he and the crew all agree that they must vote on a new captain before they can continue their voyage.
Galton, the toughest amongst the crew, is responsible for repairing and maintaining the ship's hull, masts, and other wooden structures. Doesn't interact with the crew much, but observes and notices Huxford's every move. He knows he's hiding something.
Responsible for operating and maintaining the ship's cannons. Despite the hard working conditions, he drinks away his pain and raises a glass to surviving each and every day.
EXTRAS Responsible for navigation and steering the ship.
