Orual is the narrator, telling the story of her own life. She is writing this narrative as a complaint against the gods. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

She begins as the eldest princess in the land of Glome and becomes Queen of this country after her father’s death. Orual is considered ugly by everyone in her father’s court. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

A princess of Glome. She is Orual’s half-sister, the King’s youngest daughter by his second marriage. She is kind, beautiful, and perfect in every way. Orual helped raise Psyche after her mother died in childbirth. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

Psyche’s mother. The King’s second wife. She is young and very weak. She dies in childbirth soon after her marriage to the King. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

Trunia is the younger prince of Phars, a neighboring kingdom. He’s an ambitious young man and forms an alliance with Glome. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

A princess of Glome. Orual’s younger sister. She’s pretty, flirtatious, and empty-headed, but she can also be manipulative and cruel. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

Arnom becomes Priest at the Temple of Ungit when the original Priest dies. He is a young man and a logical thinker. He believes that the stories of Ungit are mostly metaphorical. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

A mysterious figure who presides over Orual’s trial when she brings her complaint against the gods. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

Batta acts as nurse to the princesses of Glome when they are children. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

A citizen of Glome who pleads for food when famine strikes the kingdom. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

Bardia’s wife. Very loyal to him and jealous of the time he spends at court. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

A worshipper of the goddess Ungit. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

King of the land of Glome and father of Orual, Redival, and Psyche. He’s a cruel, selfish man who dislikes Orual and generally ignores his other daughters. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

A worshiper of the goddess Istra. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

The Fox is a slave from the Greeklands who becomes the teacher of the princesses of Glome. Orual and Psyche see him as a grandfather figure. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

The Priest presides over the goddess Ungit’s temple and interprets her will to the people of Glome. He believes deeply in Ungit’s presence and power. His power is equal to The King’s in the land of Glome. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

Bardia starts out as the captain of the palace guard and becomes one of Queen Orual’s closest advisors. He is a brave, loyal, hardworking man. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

A palace guard. When he’s caught kissing Redival, the King makes him a eunuch and sends him away. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

The god of the Grey Mountain. Few people have ever seen him. There are myths and stories told about him that describe him as The Brute or The Shadowbrute. Psyche loves him. Orual hates him. "TIL WE HAVE FACES"

Corie is a free-spirited, energetic young woman who is deeply in love with her husband, Paul. She is optimistic, adventurous, and often acts on impulse, which often leads to entertaining but chaotic situations. "BAREFOOT IN THE PARK"

Paul is a more reserved and practical individual, contrasting Corie’s spontaneity. He is a lawyer who takes his job seriously and often finds himself caught between his wife’s desires for excitement and his own need for stability. "BAREFOOT IN THE PARK"

Ethel is Corie’s mother and a widow. She is portrayed as a slightly more conservative and traditional character who often clashes with Corie’s carefree nature. Victor is the Bratters’ eccentric neighbor, who lives in the attic of their apartment building. He is a charming and flamboyant character who adds a dose of humor and excitement to the play. Baritone or Mezzo – Egypt’s ruler, considered a god on earth. Searching for the meaning behind his/her dreams. Portrayed as a world-famous performer. Full of energy and confidence. Doubles as a member of the greater ensemble. "JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT"

Baritone – Rich, self-indulgent, and sophisticated Egyptian capitalist. Makes Joseph the leader of his household. Strong character actor with a powerful speaking voice. Doubles as a member of the greater ensemble. "JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT"

Alto – Indulgent and confident in her pursuit of what she wants, which at this time happens to be Joseph. Serves as one of the 11 wives of Joseph’s 11 brothers. Skilled dancer and singer. Doubles as a member of the greater ensemble. "JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT"
