DIRECTORMale45-55 y.o.All ethnicities

Dry, irritated, and fast-talking. Think someone who’s been on set too long and has no more patience—but it’s not angry, just over it. A bit comedic in the way only truly exasperated directors can be. We should hear the “can we just get this shot” energy in his voice. Heard in the opening scene as he shouts instructions to actors and crew on a rom-com film set.

THERAPISTFemale45-55 y.o.All ethnicities

Voice Direction: Calm, warm, and deeply empathetic. She sounds like someone who has done the work—soft-spoken but confident, with that therapist tone that makes people feel safe even when they’re breaking down. Her presence is entirely in her voice—reassuring, emotionally grounded, and just woo-woo enough to be believable as a couple’s counselor in Vancouver. Heard in a guided therapy session between the romantic leads.
