Singing Audition for Upcoming Play

Deer Park, TX, United States
ID: 283306Exp: 5/7/2025
Description:

Seeking male and female talent for "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". Please see the details below. Rate: Non Paid. Additional info: Directors will teach music and dance combinations for audition purposes. Since “Joseph” is sung through, there are no readings. If you come with a prepared song, we will certainly allow the performance of the prepared piece, but it is not necessary. Directors will have “plug and play” capability for prepared musical auditions, but they will not have an accompanist available. Headshots and resumes are helpful but not required. Please be prepared to dance. Appropriate clothing and footwear is a must. Participation in the children’s chorus will be determined by singing ability – some dance is required, but directors can teach what is needed. Parents should be aware that the children’s chorus is involved in the ENTIRE show…nights may get late as rehearsals get into the last stages. All other roles require singing and dancing. This is a VERY chorus-intense show…if your character isn’t on stage, it’s only because you’re doing a quick change to get ready to go back on. Typically, directors will rehearse on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturdays, typically from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Saturdays are predominantly choreography rehearsals. This is subject to change as we try to accommodate summer vacations, family conflicts, and work conflicts to the best of our ability. There may be some Friday evening rehearsals. The cast will have a complete schedule by the first rehearsal on May 10. Note: Directors can work around just about any conflict before June 13. Performances: July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, & 26. Friday and Saturday shows are at 8 pm, Sunday shows are at 2 pm If interested, please apply.
