About the project: A fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances - this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal! Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world. Additional info: Auditions will be 60 minutes consisting of a vocal audition and a dance audition and a fight audition. If you are auditioning for Callahan, you do not need to participate in the dance portion. Material to Prepare In addition to a Headshot/Resume, please prepare to sing one minute of a song that shows off your voice and is not from the show. Bring sheet music of the song you've prepared. An accompanist will be provided. No acapella or recorded music. Dress comfortably for the dance and fight audition. Please bring any conflicts between May 27th-August 3rd. No conflicts submitted after the first read-through will be accepted. Offers will be made by phone between May 23-26. If you are not cast, you will receive an email no later than May 26th.
