Lee, born under extreme poverty in China and grown-up through difficult trials, seeks to establish himself as a worthy entity in a brutal world. He's transformed by the love and light of Grace to become a war-hero and a champion for the forgotten-Chinese

James is born to a wealthy ship-building dynasty-family in Connecticut and loves God, Country and Grace. As an OSS officer running missions in China, he learns to respect Lee and his guerilla-fighters.

Martha is a famed journalist who interviewed Generalissimo Chiang and Madame Soon Mei Ling in Chongqing and Zhou Enlai in a secret location. She provides experiential leadership and guidance to Grace and other characters
