"All Parties Must End" Film Needs Actors
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of cast for a student short film "AALL Parties Must End". Please, see the details below. About the project: A 29-year-old Skylar is on the phone with a doctor finding out his alcoholic father won't receive the liver transplant he needs, when his old high school friend Caden shows up ready to head to their 10-year high school reunion party. When the two friends embarrass themselves by accidentally wandering into an AA meeting, Skylar castigates Caden's immature behavior. Skylar finally stands up to Caden as he realizes this could be a sign him to get his shit together, to avoid ending up like his alcoholic father. Rate: Non union. Unpaid. Catering, craft service, IMDB credit, and demo reel footage provided. Additional information: Call Back Dates: Monday January 27th. Call Back Location: Vancouver, BC. Shooting Dates: February 8th, 2025/February 9th 2025. Shooting Location: Greater Vancouver Region. Self-tapes due by January 24th, 2025. Handsome but unkempt, Skylar is a man on the edge of ending up like his alcoholic father. His journey is one of clarity and self-empowerment. He deep down wants to better himself but hasn't had the courage to make a change until now. Skylar is a people pleaser, he wants to make others happy and hates confrontation. The reason he has been stuck in the loop of failure and depression is because of Caden dragging. him down and his fear of speaking up for himself.
Caden is a sloppy, carefree stuck in his high school childish ways. Charismatic but emotionally immature. Caden is manipulative and has been able to control Skylar since they were kids. With any disagreement, Caden puts down Skylar and makes him feel worthless, which makes Caden feel powerful in their friendship. Caden has an outgoing personality is isn't afraid of being himself.
A quiet yet strong figure at the AA meeting, she reflects the hard-earned resilience of someone who has faced their demons and wants to help others overcome their own struggles.
