About the project: Synopsis: Welcome to the charming town of River City, where the arrival of a charismatic stranger sets the stage for a whirlwind of laughter, romance, and toe-tapping tunes! In Meredith Wilson’s The Music Man, follow the delightful escapades of Professor Harold Hill as he ignites the spirit of a sleepy community through the magic of music. But as hearts open and dreams take flight, will Harold’s own heart be captured by the enchanting Marian the Librarian? Get ready for an unforgettable journey filled with laughter, love, and the joy of making beautiful music together! This production is licensed by Music Theatre International. Additional info: Call backs: Tuesday, February 18, from 6 – 10 p.m. Rehearsals will begin Sunday, February 23, 2025. Rehearsals may be held Sundays (2p-6p), Mondays (7p-10p), Wednesdays (7p-10p), and Thursdays (7p-10p) but are subject to change based on cast/crew availability. Not all cast members will be required to be at every rehearsal — a detailed schedule and call sheet will be provided after casting the production. All actors must be available for all tech/dress rehearsals and performances. (Vocal Range Ab2-F4): A con man, traveling under the auspices of a salesman, he eventually falls in love with Marian Paroo. Charismatic, energetic, and charming.
(Vocal Range G3-A5): The town librarian and music teacher. She is an attractive young lady who eventually falls for Harold Hill. Stuck up. Curious.
(Vocal Range Ab3-Eb5): An Irish widow and mother to Marian and Winthrop. Cheerful and full of Irish wisdom.
(Vocal Range D4-D5): Mayor Shinn’s peacock wife. A serial gossiper and snob, she has trouble keeping her opinions to herself.
A blustery politician who is all too “self-important.” Begrudgingly married to Eulalie, he is skeptical of the town rumor mill.
