It follows a father-daughter relationship marked by unspoken love and missed connections. A terminally-ill Chinese father Wei struggles to connect with his estranged daughter Suzy as they share a warm meal at the family dinner table. Wei expresses his affection through carefully prepared meals, believing that food is his way of connecting to his daughter. However, he fails to realize Suzy's effort in trying to communicate with him in another way. Suzy also fails to understand Wei's gestures, creating a growing emotional distance between the two.
