Singing Audition for "Matilda the Musical" Show
The company is holding auditions for "Matilda the Musical" and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: "Matilda The Musical is based on the beloved children's novel by Roald Dahl. It tells the story of an extraordinary little girl named Matilda, who has a brilliant mind and a vivid imagination, but is underestimated and mistreated by her family and headmistress. Despite this, Matilda uses her intelligence, wit, and a hint of magic to stand up for herself and her classmates, ultimately changing their lives." Additional info: Be prepared to sing, dance and do some reading from the script. Show Dates: March 21-23. Please prepare 16-32 bars (1-2 minutes) of a musical theatre song that demonstrates your singing ability. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring your sheet music. There will be a short dance taught at auditions; no prepared dance is required. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes to dance in. Callbacks January 18 at 7:00 pm If you are cast there is a cast fee.
