About the project: When Halia realises she is losing the traces of her mother to time, all that can comfort Halia is a mysterious, ethereal light from the night sky. This light transports her to a faraway place where her memories have become tangible, and fragile. Her difficult journey through this land leads her to a powerful transmission tower that forces her to come to terms with her situation in a sublime display of light. Rate: Non union. volunteer project. Additional information: Audition Location Online with in-person call backs Shoot/Performance Date(s) January 31st - February 2nd. Shoot/Performance Location(s) Vancouver. 1st day - exterior in January (dress warm, bring layers, hand warmers & hot drinks will be provided). Submission deadline January 1, 2025. Halia is a young, college-educated, busy and working woman. She is determined to hold on to her past but resigned from trying to make her mother face reality.
Very minor role, with minimal dialogue and face obscured. A widowed, caring mother struggles to be there for her daughter due to her evolving dementia, losing track of the memories that bond them.
