Amelia is a college student studying to be an architect in her first semester of college she is Corinne's granddaughter. She is passionate but occasionally temperamental.
James is Amelia's father and Corinne's only son. He's a blue-collar worker who is caring and hard-working but does not quite understand Amelia's need to be an architect.
Corinne is Amelia's grandmother. She's caring and elegant, but she also does not take any nonsense about Amelia's attitude towards college being difficult. She has always been very supportive.
Professor Martin is Amelia's architecture professor, stern but fair. They understand that Amelia is passionate about what she's doing but is not applying herself. They do not truly understand the circumstances that are involved
