"Finding the Absent Crescent" Comedy Play Needs Cast
Auditions for the first readers theatre show of 2025 season "Finding the Absent Crescent" (comedy in two acts). Actors needed. See the breakdown below. About the project: Synopsis: When Anthony begrudgingly hosts a relatives funeral reception due to an untimely incident eliminating his mother’s home from consideration, help comes from a pseudo guardian angel in the form of a philosophical plumber. Meanwhile Anthony’s grandparents look on from the spirit world to help ease the chaos, but when the persnickety funeral director arrives, nothing is as it seems, and everything that can go wrong does. Setting: An Italian American household in New Orleans, Louisiana. Additional info: Be prepared to do cold reading from the script. Resume and/or headshot appreciated but not required.
