"Clybourne Park" Stage Play in Search of Men and Women
Auditions for "Clybourne Park" play. Actors needed. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. About the project: Clybourne Park explodes in two outrageous acts set fifty years apart. Act One takes place in 1959, as white community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act Two is set in the same house in the present day, as the now predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification. Written in 2010, Clybourne Park was inspired by Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. Both shows, along with a third, Beneatha’s Place, by Kwame Kwei-Armah comprise “The Raisin Cycle”, which highlight the social issues and housing policies affecting the Younger family, and ultimately America.. Recipient of the Tony Award for Best Play and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Rate: Non paid. Additional info: Non-equity.
