Auditions for "Chicago" Musical
"Chicago" musical needs performers. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: "In the Roaring Twenties, aspiring chorus girl Roxie Hart and fading vaudeville star Velma Kelly each face trial for murder. Both as cynical as they are sexy, the two women compete for the services of shady lawyer Billy Flynn, who promises to make them media celebrities and win them acquittals." Additional info: Prepare your audition: Directors prefer that you sing with sheet music (Merry Livingston will be playing for auditions). They will have the capability to play a track if needed. Please limit your vocal audition to no more than 2 min. Just show what you can do. You may be asked to read from the Script. There will also be an extensive dance portion to the audition. The dance portion will be after everyone has completed a vocal audition, so you can dress for an audition and will have time to change. Ladies are encouraged to wear character shoes and guys a shoe you can dance in. Please no sneakers. Come to Auditions: Show up and show what you got. Directors ask that you arrive at least 15 min before your scheduled time. Performances: Feb 7th 7:30, Feb 8th 7:30, Feb 9th 2:00, Feb 13th 7:30, Feb 14th 7:30, Feb 15th 2:00 & 7:30, Feb 16th 2:00.
