"Fun Home" Based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family’s Bechdel Funeral Home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality, and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father’s hidden desires. Preview 5/22/25 Performances 5/22/- 5/25/25 and 5/29/ – 5/31/25. 2. "A Real Boy" When Geppetto’s latest wooden creation magically comes to life, a new story begins for an unlikely father and son. From one adventure to another, Pinocchio approaches his life with a courageous spirit and innocent optimism, while Geppetto realizes that fatherhood is more than he ever imagined it to be. But when Pinocchio learns that it’s not only his wooden frame that makes him different from the other boys, he must look within himself to discover what it truly means to be a real boy. This regional premiere theatrical event presents Pinocchio as a gay fairy tale hero and brings Pinocchio’s magical world to life. A historical drama that intwines the mysteries and then puts the pieces together to offer the only possible resolution. A wild romp through gay 16th Century Elizabethan England. A rapidly unfolding detective narrative filled with drama, comedy, intrigue, murder and a touching love story. How could Christopher Marlowe, a known spy and England’s foremost playwright be suspiciously murdered and quickly buried in an unmarked grave just days before he was to be tried for treason? How could William Shakespeare replace Marlowe as England’s greatest palywright virtually overnight when he had never written anything before and was merely an unknow actor? "Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors" Ever wondered what would happen if you took Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire tale and put in into a blender with the comedic influences of Mel Brooks, Monty Python, and The 39 Steps? That’s just what happens in this lightning-fast, laugh-out-loud 90-minute gender-bending, quick-change magical romp. Famed female vampire hunter Jean Van Helsing and her motley company chase Count Dracula from the English countryside to Transylvania to “other frightening places.” Their antics brim with enough tongue-in-cheek mayhem to fill your cup of giggles. Rate: All roles paid. Additional info: What to prepare: If you plan to sing please bring your own recorded accompaniment or be prepared to sing acapella 16 bars of an up-tempo song plus a 1 – 2 minute modern monologue. "Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors" Harker: (British dialect) Prim and proper and obsessive compulsive real estate agent, frightened of his own shadow. Bosun: A scurvy seaman who goes down with the ship in a storm Gravedigger: A drunk gravedigger with a secert.
"Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors" Dr. Westfeldt: (British dialect) Lucy and Mina’s father, a blowhard, self-important misogynist given to proclamations. Renfield: Insane patient of Dr. Westfeldt who lives to serve and loves to eat bugs. Captain: The salty captain of a doomed ship caught in a raging storm.
"Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors" Lucy: (British dialect) Brilliant plucky earth scientist daughter of Dr. Westfeldt, she is full of energy and the spirit of adventure and often underestimated because of her beauty. Kitty: A dotty kleptomaniac patient of Dr. Westfeldt’s she serves as a maid in his house. Driver: Transylvanian driver of the carriage carrying Jonathan to the castle and tries to warn him.
