Sadie is a Jewish immigrant and political activist fighting for a woman’s right to vote. Known as “Soapbox Sadie” because she’s usually standing on the corner of the street delivering speeches about gender equality.

“Jerry Herman's MRS. SANTA CLAUS” TERRIS SEASON (LORT D) African and Irish American. Tenor. A stableboy. Romantic, Helpful, Dreamer. Elijah is an optimist with a great passion for life and the animals he cares for. His mother is Irish and his father is African-American, so he’s more open minded than most. Elijah has a massive crush on Sadie and big Pie-in-the sky ideas about what their life could look like... if only he could get a word in.

“Jerry Herman's MRS. SANTA CLAUS” TERRIS SEASON (LORT D) Eastern European Jewish. Alto. Owner of the boarding house and Sadie’s mother. Hospitable, Nurturing, Hilarious. Mrs. Lowenstein is a Jewish immigrant with a cutting sense of humor, and a deep fear that it’s just a matter of time before her family is driven from this home too.

“Jerry Herman's MRS. SANTA CLAUS” TERRIS SEASON (LORT D) Irish. Baritone. A policeman. Bumbling, Exasperated, Soft. Officer Doyle is more often than not the target of Nora’s pranks but is always a step behind in catching her. Doyle also has a crush on Mrs. Lowenstein but is terrible at flirting.

“LITTLE MISS PERFECT” Noelle’s well-meaning, but overbearing and neurotic mother who is set on keeping everything perfect.

“LITTLE MISS PERFECT” Noelle’s new stepfather and principal of her high school. He is an encouraging force in Noelle’s life, a calming presence in Sylvia’s, and often enthusiastic about mundane things.

“LITTLE MISS PERFECT” Noelle’s deceased father. He is warm and subdued but loves Noelle fiercely.

“THE GREAT EMU WAR” Female-identifying, bird-like Troubadour. Australian accent. She is a laid-back, wandering songsmith with a knack for observation and a quick wit. She is in awe of the natural wonders and deep history of her homeland and has a relentless drive to impart its stories to anyone who will hear them. Doubles as Maggie.

“THE GREAT EMU WAR” Female-identifying Emu. Australian accent. Edith is a headstrong and heroic young emu desperate to strike out on her first migration. Seemingly always in a rush, Edith is a natural born leader, though her self-reliance can lead to rashness. She would do anything, including risking her own life, to protect her flock.

“THE GREAT EMU WAR” Male-identifying Human. Cultivated Australian – British accent. A self- professed master-tactician, he is a bird-hating maniac with delusions of grandeur. He has a deep reverence for the pomp and status of the military, though a misplace sense of patriotic justice.

“THE GREAT EMU WAR” Male-identifying Emu. Australian accent. Edith’s doddering father. He is struggling to keep up with the energetic younger emus. He is fundamentally well-meaning, but has a fear of abandonment and an overprotective streak.

“THE GREAT EMU WAR” Male-identifying Emu. Australian accent. An overenthusiastic, but charmingly awkward male emu desperate for companionship. He is a boisterous presence who is self-aware enough to admit that he doesn’t have all the answers, but not self-aware enough to avoid saying exactly the wrong thing at exactly the wrong time.

“THE GREAT EMU WAR” Female-identifying Magpie. Very Australian accent. An excessively talkative magpie who is always across the latest avian gossip in the bush. She delights in making connections and perching for a chat, and a valuable source of information if you can get a word in edgeways. Doubles as The Bush Bard.

“THE GREAT EMU WAR” Male-identifying Human. Australian accent. A dim-witted farmer-turned Australian Army Sargent. He is in somewhat in over his head when facing actual action and unquestioningly follows his superiors’ orders, even to his own detriment. Think Stephanie J. Block in Edwin Drood.
