About the project: Logline: Gertrude’s love affair with her sister Muriel’s husband, Raymond, turns deadly when Muriel discovers them and threatens to keep them apart. In a frantic bid to protect their relationship, Gertrude kills Muriel and drags Raymond into her plot to stage her sister’s death as a botched robbery. As they struggle to cover their tracks, Gertrude faces Raymond’s intense aversion to blood and her own crumbling sanity as Muriel’s corpse starts taunting Gertrude with insults only she can hear. These parts are voice only. Puppets will lip sync your dialog at a later date. Big performances needed! Theatrical background is a plus. Rate: Non-Union Paid Additional info: Length: 20-25 minutes Genre: Puppets/Melodramatic Murder Story in the style of mid 20th century radio dramas like the Whistler, Inner Sanctum Mysteries, and Suspense. Shooting Location: Tucson, AZ Mid to Late October. 2 rehearsal days, one recording day. Dates TBD When applying, please include resume. Lead. On the surface, a sweet and loving person, but harbors deep-seated resentment and bitterness from years of verbal abuse and manipulation by her sister. As her plans begin to fail, her paranoia escalates, and her sister’s lingering insults disturb her already fragile mental state.
Lead. Deeply in love with Gertrude, becomes her unwilling accomplice in Muriel’s murder. Struggles with a severe aversion to blood, which amplifies his inner turmoil and fear as their plan unravels
Supporting. Beat cop with a thick Irish accent. Not too bright. Small part.
