COST) contract pending Additional info: Registration is from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm; The audition begins promptly at 12:00 pm. – PRODUCTION DATES – Friday, December 6 at 8:00 pm; Saturday, December 7 at 8:00 pm; Friday, December 13 at 8:00 pm; Saturday, December 14 at 8:00 pm; Sunday, December 15 at 2:00 pm; Friday, December 20 at 8:00 pm; Saturday, December 21 at 8:00 pm; Sunday, December 22 at 2:00 pm. – PREPARATIONS – Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. (Please do not sing from the show.) Please bring appropriately marked sheet music as an accompanist will be provided. Instrumental tracks are acceptable but not preferred. No acapella auditions. Please be prepared to learn a short combination for a dance call. Directors suggest bringing a change of clothes! You may be asked to stay and read from the script after vocal auditions. Please bring a headshot and resume. (A selfie is okay in lieu of a professional headshot!) Please bring ALL known conflicts from SEPTEMBER 7 – DECEMBER 22. The rehearsal schedule will be based on conflicts submitted by cast members. — REHEARSAL INFORMATION — Although the schedule is currently not set, productions typically rehearse *select* weeknights (Monday – Friday, anywhere between 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm.) (Female Identifying): Donna Summer at the pinnacle of her career. She is warm and wise. She has lived a life and is our emcee for the evening. Also, Mary Gaines, Donna’s mother. Vocal Range: Belt to E and mix to G above staff.
(Female Identifying): Donna Summer in her late teens, riding the wave of her skyrocketing career from Boston to Germany, to the discotheques of Lost Angeles and Manhattan. She is charismatic and strong as she navigates this world for the first time. Vocal Range: Belt to E and mix to G above staff.
(Male Identifying): Bass player for Brooklyn Dreams and Donna’s eventual husband. Steadfast, supportive, bright, and witty. This role does NOT have to play bass. Vocal Range: Tenor.
(Female Identifying): Much like her younger counterpart, she supports Donna when her sister needs her most. Spunky and outspoken. Strong singer, harmonizer, and dancer. Vocal Range: Belt G.
(Male Identifying): (NEIL) Head of Casablanca Records and Donna’s mentor. Works hard and parties harder. (GUNTER) Donna’s German boyfriend. Handsome and charming, but with a darker edge.
(Female Identifying): Compassionate. Helps Donna during one of her darkest times. Strong singer and dancer.
(Male Identifying): Donna’s father. Ex-military. Has stern exterior but loves his children more than anything.
(Female Identifying): Neil Bogart’s business-savvy wife. One of Donna’s few friends in the industry.
