Singing Audition for "Groundhog Day" Show
The company is holding auditions for "Groundhog Day" The Musical and looking for performers, please see the details below. About the project: A beloved comedy movie classic is brought to the stage in Groundhog Day. Critically acclaimed on both the West End and Broadway this musical romp revels in one man’s journey of self-discovery, day after day. Phil Connors, a cynical Pittsburgh TV weatherman, dreads his yearly trip to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania where he is forced to report on the annual Groundhog Day festivities. Disdainful of the locals, rude to his cameraman and associate producer, Rita, Phil wishes for nothing more than to get out of Punxsutawney as soon as possible. Trapped by a blizzard and caught in a time loop, Phil is forced to relive February 2nd again and again. Is there a lesson to be learned? What will it take for Phil to break the cycle? Rate: This is a volunteer theatre performance. Reimbursement/Per Diem will be offered for all roles. Additional info: REHEARSALS: Begin September 10 and run Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm-10:30pm and Saturdays from 10:00am-6:00pm. PERFORMANCES: Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 7pm November 1-3, 8-10, and 15-17.
