Dancers & Singers Needed for "Maggie Never Bitter, The Musical"
The company is seeking actors, singers and dancers to cast the "World Premiere" of the award winning production, "Maggie Never Bitter, The Musical" , please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Whimsical and modern version of Snow White. A young and loved teacher, Maggie, learns her father is dying, returns home, and becomes unexpected prey for her deranged stepmother. Maggie bantering with a basketball team, discovers true love. Falling victim to her mentally deranged stepmother's plots, Maggie struggles to follow her dying father's advice to be "'Never Bitter." Rate: $500 Additional info: Time Commitment: Rehearsals will take place on weekdays, Monday-Wednesday, September 3 through November 16 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. and every Saturday from 11 am - 4 pm Note: Some additional musical rehearsals may be scheduled according to actors availability. Performance and tech rehearsals: Tech rehearsals are Monday thru Thursday from November 18 - November 21. Performances are November 22 thru December 1, Friday, Saturday and Sunday which includes Thanksgiving weekend. Material To Prepare: Prepare a 1-2 mins monologue or performance piece, preferably in the style of the show. Prepare 16 bars of an upbeat musical selection and 16 bars of a slow musical selection. If you have a track or sheet music, please bring it with you accompaniment will be provided. Include your vocal range (Soprano, Mezzo Soprano, Alto, Contralto, Countertenor, Tenor, Baritone, Bass). You will be asked to read sides from the production. When applying, please include headshots and resumes along with preferred time to audition by Friday, August 9, 2024.

Priscilla is a widow with a noticeable southern accent, loyal, maternal and gossipy. She loves the Brown family. (Sings: 1 solo, 2 Trios, and in Finale)
A gentleman and Maggie's best friend, confidante and love interest whom she has known since childhood. Douglas is also Mr. B's attorney. (Sings: 1 Solo and 2 Duet)
A gofer, streetwise and loyal. He is Jennifer's driver whom she treats coldly. Yet, he adores the Brown family. (Sings and Dance Finale)
From Jamaica, female, the Brown family's live-in cook. She speaks loudly and is fearless. Rita is a psychic and tarot reader that also works for the police department in solving missing and murder cases. (Sings and Dance in Finale)
Is humorous and eager to please others. She is the maid who helps clean the 35,000-square-foot mansion that Mr. B intends to become a place for Maggie's school when she is ready. (Sings: 2 Trios and in Finale)
