About the project: Logline: Our version of a stoner comedy, set in 2012, when all recreational weed was still illegal. A doe-eyed high school boy with little to no friends decides to sell weed to increase his social status, without thinking about the potential consequences of his new gig. Note for all Roles: Most roles require smoking of fake herbs. Improv experience is a plus for this production, so please note that in your submission. Rate: All roles listed are PAID (between $100 and $150 per day) Additional info: The film will enter the festival circuit. The difference between this film and a high-production value indie feature film, is the length! Shooting October 3-6 in Long Grove, IL. Some roles may be needed for as few as one day. Descent Description: A doe-eyed, high-energy, anxious boy who decides to sell weed in order to gain social status; he's confident, silly, and reckless, with little grasp on reality, smokes weed because it's "cool" and he likes to party; our lead.
[Lead] College-caliber tennis player with a tendency to lie and keep things to himself; natural leader, and shows confidence through silence; smokes weed because he's unhappy in his situation, and he likes to escape from himself; no tennis skills required, but general athleticism necessary.
[Supporting] Description: Tough, extroverted, disinterested, and angsty. Loves Worldstar, playing with knives, and thinks they're invincible. Our villain.
[Supporting] Chronically jumpy and socially anxious; ADHD patient zero, and the punching bag of the group; he has no idea who he is, but he loves hip hop culture, so he claims that as his identity, smokes weed because everyone else does, but it makes him super paranoid, and he usually has a terrible time. Very silly
(Supporting) Shifty, but steady, wise beyond his years, and a chronic mumbler. He feels no need to prove himself, unlike most teenagers. Smokes weed because he likes it, and because it gives him energy.
[Day Player] Ratty and sketchy with permanent dark circles under his eyes. Our only character who is legitimately scary. Completely unpredictable. Defeats our hero.
[Day Player] An extremely lovable nerd who anybody would be lucky to hang out with. Totally himself, but struggles to make friends because he stands out from the crowd.
[Day Player] Cool, chill, nerdy, and extremely likable. Unbothered by what people think of her, but she's not afraid to speak up. Daughter of Greg
[Day Player] Chill and charming dad until something doesn't go as planned. Then he becomes grumpy and agitated, with his temper on full display. Looking for someone to make this their own and go crazy with it.
[Day Player] Messy, total bro, extremely chaotic, but somehow likable because of it. (18+ preferred but not required)
(Day Player) Tall, gangly, and slow-talking. Looking for someone to step in with interesting energy and improv experience, make this role their own.
