The company is holding auditions for "The Wizard of Oz" Show and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz, continues to thrill audiences worldwide. The production will be a modern take on the beloved classic. Keeping true to the magic of black and white to colorvision, but bringing it into modern times where technology and pop culture enrapture the minds of our youth making imagination all that more colorful. Additional info: Prepare: If auditioning for a singing role/ensemble, please prepare a 32 bar musical** cut that best represents your range AND a 30 second monologue that is comedic or tells a 30 second story of your choosing. There will be no dance call at the initial audition as singing is paramount for all ensemble. However, this will be a DANCE HEAVY production. If auditioning for Wizard or Wicked Witch, please prepare 2 contrasting 30 second monologues. Present two different character types and voices.
