About the project: Megan, a young girl in her 20s struggles with being confident and fitting in. Being the target of never-ending bullying and missing a sense of security and love from home, Megan decides to take matters into her own hands. However, someone who plays an important role in her life intervenes. Rate: volunteer. All cast members will receive a screen credit. Additional information: Non-Union. AUDITION LOCATION Online-only. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE DATE(S) August 30 - August 31, 2024. Final rehearsals will commence one week prior to the first day of shooting. This short film deals with suicide/sensitive topics. Lead. Megan is an introvert, very reserved and likes to keep to herself. She tends to fidget a lot when she is nervous and has trouble standing up for herself.
Supporting. Lily is Megan’s mother. She is a very hard-working single mom. Lily often picks up extra shifts from work and is not very present in Megan’s life. She is very disconnected from her relationship with her daughter. Although she loves her daughter, she does not know how to express that love.
Supporting. Rachel is Megan’s bully/ arch-nemesis. Rachel is very blunt and straight forward. She is snobby and stuck up. Quite fashionable.
