About the project: The story is about a Deaf child and the challenges their parents face in navigating this issue. Globally, Deaf children often do not receive the same opportunities or fair chances in life, and this often starts at home with their parents. Hearing parents may not know how to handle such a significant change in their lives. The script and story, titled 90, are currently in the development stage. Type: Mid-length indie film. Additional info: Location: Filming in Utah Valley; Dates: Mid-September to November 2024. This is a low-budget film, but you will be compensated for your time, with payment details negotiated at the time of the interview. Set the privacy setting to "Unlisted" (not “Private”) so directors can view it without a password. Only those with the URL address will be able to access your video. Avoid stripes and solid black. Framing: Record your performance from about your chest upward to ensure your face is clearly visible. Quality: Ensure your video is clear, in focus, and well-lit. Slate: State your full name at the beginning of the video. Camera Position: Look directly at the camera so directors can see your eyes and face clearly. Performance: Directors are seeking natural performances suited for film, not theatrical or overly sensationalized. Sound: Check that the audio is clear and can be heard without turning the volume up excessively. Submission: Submit only one take of each side. Uploading: Upload your video to an online video-sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo.
