LEAD ROLE. MUST BE INDIGENOUS. 145 Lines - 5 Scenes. Indigenous Grandmother. Shy and reserved. Doesn't smile often. Has to be able to gently cry.
CO-STAR ROLE. MUST BE INDIGENOUS. 8 Lines - 3 Scenes. Indigenous female. Very cruicial role. Winona is very wise. She helps shape the entire script. However, she's a memory of Grandma Jo. She is not actually alive, therefore has very limited lines. Actor must be able to play one of those "conscience" roles... almost like a ghost. Voice and delivery is very important.
SUPPORTING ROLE. MUST BE INDIGENOUS. 23 Lines - 1 Scene. Indigenous. Onida is the leader of a support group for trauma survivors. She grew up in a residential school and is helping others to overcome their trauma.
