Theatre Casting Call for "Puffs"
The company is holding auditions for the "Puffs " play and looking for actors, please see the details below. About the project: The New York Times proclaims Puffs “A fast-paced romp through the ‘Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic.’ For Potterphiliacs who grew up alongside Potter and are eager to revisit that world, Puffs exudes a jovial, winking fondness for all things Harry!” This clever and inventive play “never goes more than a minute without a laugh” (Nerdist) giving you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children. Alongside them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers “who are so lovable and relatable, you’ll leave the theater wishing they were in the stories all along” (Hollywood Life). Their “hilariously heartfelt!” (Metro) and epic journey takes the classic story to new places and reimagines what a boy wizard hero can be. Additional info: Callbacks (if necessary): August 7th; Rehearsal Dates: September 9, 2024 - October 17, 2024; Monday - Thursday, 7:00-9:30 PM. Please also be aware that this play contains scenes that depict acts of violence at a school. Please prepare a comedic monologue, approximately 1 minute in length. Callbacks, if necessary, will consist of cold reads from the script. For certain roles, a short improv exercise will be done as well. If you are interested, please apply.

Wayne's nerdy and bookish friend. Excellent with numbers and logic but struggles with the more fantastical elements of school life.
A tough and rebellious Puff who initially wants to follow in her mother's villainous footsteps but gradually finds her own way.
The storyteller who guides the audience through the Puffs' seven years at school. Charismatic, humorous, and engaging. Improv skills and comfortability with audience interaction are a big plus.
A loyal Puff with a big heart, often seen as a big brother figure to the others. Also plays: A Very Tall Man, Seamus, A Certain Potions Teacher, Professor Turban, Ghost History Teach, Professor Locky, Mr. Nick, Sal, Second Headmaster, Real Mr. Moody.

An overly optimistic and cheerful Puff who sees the bright side in every situation. Also plays: Ginny, Helga, Frenchy.

A nervous and anxious Puff who is constantly worried about the dangers surrounding the school. Also plays: Harry (he/him), Colin (he/him), Hermeoone #2, Ric Gryff (he/him), Myrtle.
The most popular and accomplished Puff. Kind, charismatic, and a natural leader. He’s the ideal that the other Puffs aspire to. Also plays: Voldy.
