About the project: "It’s a Wonderful Life" a Live Radio Play is based on the classic holiday movie with a clever twist thrown in: the story is staged as a live radio broadcast. Actors portray dozens of characters, and sound effects are done through Foley artists. It’s a Wonderful Life is about the life of George Bailey, a generous and well-meaning man who has become too downcast and tired to continue living. It will take help from a lovable angel to show George what life would be like if he wasn’t born for George to have a change of heart and understand the true spirit of the holidays. Mary Hatch-Bailey (and young Mary) Sally is sweet as pie. She was Miss Ohio and has recently completed filming a major movie role in Los Angeles in time to join this ensemble as George’s leading lady.

Portrays all the other female voices of all ages, including Violet, the town’s siren and Josephine the Superintendent of Angels. Lana is everyone’s favourite pin up gal. She will never tell her age, but she has been a regular at WLTR Playhouse of the Air for quite some time. She has taken on many roles and is very popular with the audience.

Harry “Jazzbo” HeywoodMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Portrays many characters of all ages; including George’s brother Harry, mean old man Potter and many more. Harry is a young up and coming star. Soon to be co-starring in a major Paramount Pictures comedy. He has big energy.

Portrays multiple characters of all ages including George’s Uncle, Father and son. Freddie is a seasoned regular at WLTR Playhouse of the Air. He is the announcer and long-time host of a weekly show for the radio station. He is confident and comfortable; he feels at home in the studio.

Andrew “Angel” AndersonMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Portrays Clarence Oddbody – George’s guardian angel. Angel, (appropriate name for this show) has performed in many Broadway musicals. He knows his show tunes. This character is quirky and flamboyant, earnest and well meaning, a bit awkward and oh so loveable.

Stan or Stella “the sound” StrikerFemale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Foley artist. Stan/Stella is that bigger than life character that almost steals the show. Stan/Stella is responsible for all of the sound effects, live on stage using a variety of interesting props, creating a show within the show.
