Actors Wanted for Scene Filming
Casting call/interest check for local film in VERY early development. Looking for actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the details below. About the project: Looking to film a scene between two characters on a minimal set to be used as proof of concept. “The Backup,” a sci-fi/action/film noir, R-rated, multiple gory scenes. In an alternate future, a corrupt cop and a rogue android team up to seek justice for the death of a common loved one. Rate: Paid (not scale but director will compensate for your time). Additional info: Planned as either a feature or episodic web series, TBD. Scout is written as smaller than Diane, this is flexible but will be considered in casting. Non-union (referring to the proof of concept, not the feature). Written as Caucasian, but race flexible. A lesbian working-class girl. A SWAT officer with secrets to keep, mourning the recent drive-by shooting death of her younger brother. A likable brute who says “Yo” a lot. Loyal. Lonely. Sometimes reckless. Has military training. Her actor needs to be physically fit for multiple action sequences. There may be running in multiple scenes. Any familiarity with firearms is a plus.
Needs a youthful adult appearance (early 20s). Long dark hair (flexible), striking/haunting eyes a plus. A human replica android. She is seeking answers about the recent deaths of her human owner and her human lover. Speaks precisely and calmly despite her emotional states. She is strong and fast despite slight physical appearance - her actor needs to be slim and at least fit enough to perform stylized action sequences. There may be running in multiple scenes.
