Actors needed for play "Blithe Spirit ". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: Charles Condomine is a novelist who prepares a séance as a joke in order to gain information for his new novel., He invites the eccentric medium. Madame Arcati, to his house to conduct a séance. She, turns out to be quite powerful, summoning Charles’s first wife, Elvira, who has been dead for several years. But only Charles can see Elvira, who begins to enchant him as she always had. Tensions rise when Elvira makes increasingly desperate attempts to be seen, and and who gleefully upsets the whole household by tossing furniture and creating chaos. Additional info: Auditions will be in groups with actors reading from the script. Seeking actors who can do British or refined Transatlantic accents. Please prepare: - Photo - Resume - All current conflict dates. - Optional 2 minute comiedic monologue Callbacks by invitation if needed. Rehearsal times will be determined by cast conflicts, however, expect one weekend day (usually Sunday) and 2 weekday evenings (TBD). Opens on Halloween night for 5 performances.
