Actors Needed for "Jack and the Beanstalk" Pantomime

In need of actors to perform in "Jack and the Beanstalk" theatre show. See the details listed below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Jack Trot and his mother, Dame Trot live in a village called Merrydale. Jack is in love with King Bertram’s daughter, the lovely Princess Demelza. The village is being terrorized by the Giant who lives Up-In-The Clouds. He demands increased taxes and the hand of the Princess in marriage. In order to pay the Giant, Dame Trot and Jack are forced to sell their cow Daisy. However, Jack is tricked by Slimeball, the Giant’s henchman, who pays him in beans instead of cash; and who abducts the Princess and takes her to the Giant. Jack throws the beans away in disgust, but magically they grow into a huge beanstalk allowing him to climb up into the clouds to rescue the Princess. Will it end happily ever after? Additional info: Please come prepared to perform 16 to 32 bars, one (1) verse and one (1) chorus, of a song of your choosing. Please bring sheet music for the accompanist. No pre-recorded music will be accepted. Come dressed to move! All those auditioning will learn and then perform approximately 32 counts of basic choreography. Callbacks, if needed, will be held Wednesday, August 28 at Bannockburn. Productions Run: December 6, 2024 – January 11, 2025. (There is a break Dec. 16-Jan. 1).
