"Pippin" The Musical Seeking Cast
Auditions for "Pippin" show. In need of actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. Additional info: Audition requirement: *Sing a 16-32 bar selection from an Broadway show. *Perform a one to two minute comedic monologue. *An accompanist will be provided. PLEASE do NOT bring any recorded tracks etc. Casting and Production Fees: Directors will cast the show a few days (three to four days) after and you will receive an email, if you are cast. If you are cast there there will be a participation show fee, that helps support the show and it's theatrical elements and performance spaces, plus the fee also includes: *Four comp tickets (FREE) two per show. * Cast dinner during the tech week * Costumes and props * Scripts and performance materials If you need help or payment plans to pay the participation fee, please let one of the staff know and they will work with you. Callbacks will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, August 17th. Rehearsals: **As long as directors know up front, they can work around schedules. - Thursdays starting September 5th 6:30pm-9:30pm (Dance and Music) - Mondays and Thursdays starting September 23rd 6:30pm-9:30pm - Saturday, September 28th, October 5th from 10am-2pm and October 19th- 10am-3pm - Tech rehearsals: October 21st- 24th from 6:30pm-9:45pm Performances: Friday, October 25th and Saturday October, 26th at 7:30 PM. The ultimate 'ring leader.' Masterfully charming and manipulative, the Leading Player is a chameleon of sorts. Guides Pippin through his own story and tries to intervene at the end. excellent dancer. Obsessed with putting on a great show for the audience.
Our story's young and confused protagonist. He is longing to find his purpose in life. Naive, innocent, and discontent. Eventually finds love, and meaning in life, with Catherine and Theo.
Pippin's demanding father. As the King of the Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne is more comfortable wielding a sword than breaking bread. He wears his years with great pride.
Pippin's conniving stepmother. A seductress, who is no stranger to deceit and betrayal, she is both sexy and smart. Skilled at using her sexual appeal to benefit her and her son.
Charlemagne and Fastrada’s son. Strong and not bright. Pippin’s halfbrother and after Pippin, heir to the throne. Addicted to the physical, Lewis loves weight lifting, Lewis loves wrestling, but most of all, Lewis loves Lewis.
Pippin's saucy grandmother. A brassy woman full of wisdom, grace, and sass. She tries to help Pippin and encourages him to live his life to the fullest.
A widow and mother. She is a beautiful and hopeless romantic, who possesses graceful elegance. Encounters Pippin at his lowest point and eventually falls in love with him.
