Singing Opportunities for "The Secret Garden" Show

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking singers for the production of "The Secret Garden". Please, see the details below. About the play: This well-loved children’s story comes to life in brilliant musical style. Orphaned in India, young Mary Lennox returns to England to live with her reclusive uncle Archibald and his disabled son Colin. The children are beckoned by the estate’s magic garden and spirits from Mary’s past who dramatize the play’s themes of forgiveness and renewal. Rate: NON-EQUITY, NON-PAYING production. Additional information: Show Dates: November 1 - 17, 2024 on Friday/Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm in Cookstown, Ontario. Cast members are required to be available for both dress rehearsals and all production dates without exception. Callbacks will be held after auditions on Thursday, June 20 from 9 to 10 pm. Please prepare a musical theatre song (max of 3 min) that shows off your voice and acting ability. Do NOT choose a song from the show. You will also be asked to read from sides that will be emailed to you upon registration. There will be a short dance audition in small groups – no preparation or experience is necessary. Rehearsal Information: The first meeting/read-through will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 (6:30-10 pm). Rehearsals will begin on Thursday, August 22 (7–10 pm) and continue on Monday/Thursday evenings (7-10 pm) and Sundays (2-6 pm). Sunday evening rehearsals from 6 to 9 pm may be added the month prior to opening. During tech week, dress rehearsals will be held on Monday and Tuesday, October 28th and 29th (6:30-10 pm).
