“Becky’s New Car” Stage Play In Need of Cast
Seeking actors for play “Becky’s New Car”. Please see more info below. About the project: Synopsis: Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management and a happy, but predictable, 28-year marriage—with no prospects for change on the horizon. Then one night, a socially inept and grief-stricken millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life…and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn’t dare. BECKY’S NEW CAR is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones, a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken. Additional info: The audition sides are attached. NOTES FOR AUDITIONERS: As the play involves close relationships between Joe and Becky, Walter and Becky, and Chris and Kenni, there is some kissing/hugging involved. Actors auditioning for these roles need to be comfortable with intimate scenes. Additionally, the published script refers to Becky changing her outfit on stage. Directors have a variety of options available and they will ensure the actor is comfortable with the final solution. Rehearsals will begin July 15th and will be three (3) nights per week. Please be prepared to list potential conflicts for rehearsals and performances when you audition. The show runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. September 6th through September 22nd. If you are interested, please apply.
