About the show: "The Music Man" follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall. Rate: NON-PAYING/NON-EQUITY. Additional information: Beginning September 5th; Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7 to 10 p.m.). Sunday afternoons (1 to 5 p.m.). Full Tech Day on Sunday, November 17th (10 a.m. to 10 p.m). Dress rehearsals Tuesday, November 19th, Wednesday, November 20th. Thursday, November 21st. YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL PERFORMANCES AND DRESS REHEARSALS. Friday, November 30th, 2024 - 7:30 pm. Saturday, November 31st, 2024 - 2 p.m.(matinee). Saturday, November 31st, 2024 - 7:30 pm. Sunday, December 1st, 2024 - 2 pm (matinee). Performance Venue: Aurora, ON. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. A dance/movement audition will be required. Please come prepared with appropriate shoes.
