About the project: A drama-comedy that lives in the world of a homeschool co-op. The show centers around 6 high school students, their moms, and the one dad who teaches at the school. When the newest student Ella shows up on the first day of the year she is taken back by the differences between the Co-Op and private or public school. Rate: Unpaid. Food provided. (Playing 16) - He’s smart, musically gifted, attention seeking, self righteous. Mac’s try hard best friend, and son to Nancy Brinks. Hard working for the approval of his friends and even more so his mom.
(Playing 16) - He's an unorganized, class clown yet still a teacher's pet. Can sweet talk his way out of or into any situation. Loves to Vlog and include others. Has a codependent relationship with his best friend Cal. He’s fun seeking because of his biggest fear... being bored!
(Playing 16) - Academically motivated and gifted, controlling, overly confident, not artistic. Tries to balance grades, his love of movies, and hanging with artistic friends.
(Playing 16) - Type a high strung singer. She’s always looking for the next performance. She’s a bit of a workaholic but her FOMO keeps her hanging out with her friends. Her passion motivates, inspires, and sometimes annoys those around her.
(Playing 16) - Unhinged, sarcastic, under stimulated missionary kid. Spends her time practicing photography, and always bringing an element of chaos to the group.
(Playing 16) - Private schooler turned homeschooler. Fear of being trapped in this co-op makes her skeptical of those around her and her surroundings. Uses judgment as a defense mechanism. Sarcastic but kind hearted deep down.
The group's father figure, or maybe closer to an older brother figure. Considers himself an expert on Europe and culture. The co-op is far too uptight in his opinion and he’s determined to fix that with a relaxed work ethic. He may seem under prepared but his humor can get him out of most difficult situations.
Everyone’s favorite mom. Founder of the Co-op and excited to make everyday the new best. Over the top with her enthusiasm but has her feet on the ground and is in touch with the students.
Homeschool freedom and rights are very important to her. She will do just about anything for the students with her holistic approach to education. She is always trying to be the fun mom and be seen as cool.
Values structure, punctuality, and academic achievement. Pressures students into being the best they can be. Naturally a hard worker and expects the same out of others.
