About the project: In this high-concept dance film, Eva and Ava represent the body and consciousness of one being. As they lay in the void of purgatory, The Reaper (embodiment of death) attempts to guide Eva to the afterlife as Ava lies slowly dying. Eva resists and the fight ensues. Eventually resulting in Eva’s acceptance of leaving her other half as Ava conveys her approval during her last seconds. Eva takes the step through the ring of light and enters Eternal Oblivion. Rate: Non-Union. This is a Volunteer project, catering, IMDB credit and Demo reel footage is provided. Additional information: SHOOT/PERFORMANCE DATE(S) June 12, 2024. Ava represents the physicality of a human being. She is the other half of Eva who is the consciousness, while Ava herself portrays the body. In this battle against the reaper- the coming of death, Ava twists and turns on the ground as she begins to die, watching her other half fight against death to stay with the body.
Eva must fight against The Reaper as she struggles to stay with her other half, Ava. Eva represents the consciousness while her sister's character is the body. Eva watches as Ava slowly dies and The Reaper attempts to take her to the afterlife. With agonizing movements and heart-wrenching fights against the coming of death, Eva eventually reaches terms with entering the afterlife.
The Reaper represents death and the taking of one from purgatory into the afterlife. He fights with Eva, the embodiment of consciousness to bring her to the other side. As her physical body- Ava- dies, The Reaper must fight Eva to let go of her other half and follow him into eternal oblivion. He is cunning and quick-witted but holds an understanding of the unknown his victims must accept. He meets Eva with kindness as he guides her towards the ring of light.
