Baritone Ab2 - G4. A warm hearted baker who is determined but insecure, and has never faced his fears. He is simple and loving, yet protective of his family. He is willing to do anything to ensure his wife's happiness, but it's hard for him to admit that she is the brains behind the operation. One of the leading roles with several songs.

Mezzo-Soprano F3 - G5. An ambitious and clever woman who is determined to be a mother. She leads a simple life, but can be a romantic and materialist at times. One of the leading roles with several songs.

Mezzo-Soprano Bb3 - F5. A spoiled, clever, vain young girl who is strong-willed. She is also quick-witted and fearless, but because of her age she is naïve. She seeks approval in the place of love, of which she has had none. One of the leading roles with several songs.

Mezzo-Soprano C4 - Ab5. Cinderella's stepsister who is black of heart. She follows in her mother's footsteps of abusing Cinderella. Loud, energetic. Supporting role.

They help to orchestrate the show and illustrate lessons to the audience, but also speak and interact with the characters. For this version, the character of The Narrator within the story is intended to be a child OR a parent.

Ensemble Singer. Bitter and vindictive, she is Little Red's feisty and knife-wielding grandmother. Featured role with no solo singing but plenty of humor.
