"Matilda: The Musical" Show Needs Dancers/Singers

The company is holding auditions for Roald Dahl’s "Matilda: The Musical" and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, Matilda the Musical revels in the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination. Matilda Wormwood is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence, and psychokinetic powers. She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, Miss Honey. During her first term at school, the two forge a bond as Miss Honey begins to recognize and appreciate Matilda’s astonishing personality. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing, however – the school’s mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves to punish those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts and could be her classmates’ saving grace! Packed with high-energy dance numbers, catchy songs and a heartwarming story, children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.  Additional info: The initial audition will be a 10 minute individual appointment that consists of singing a prepared song and then reading from the script. A dance audition and/or callback will be held Wednesday or Thursday, December 6th or 7th. You will be notified if you need to attend the callback. Please apply if interested.
