"Romeo and Juliet" Play In Search Of Males/Females
"Romeo and Juliet" play casting actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: "Set in the Italian city of Verona and revolving around the passionate love affair between two young members of feuding noble families, the Montagues (Romeo) and the Capulets (Juliet). The play begins with a street brawl between the Montagues and the Capulets, showcasing the deep-seated animosity between the two families. However, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, despite the enmity between their families, fall deeply in love when they meet at a masquerade ball. They decide to secretly marry the next day. As their love deepens, a series of unfortunate events unfolds, leading to a tragic and fatal outcome. Miscommunications, impulsive actions, and the ongoing feud between their families all contribute to the ultimate demise of Romeo and Juliet. The play explores themes of love, fate, and the destructive nature of feuds and serves as a timeless and powerful depiction of youthful passion and the consequences of unchecked hatred. "The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet" is renowned for its iconic characters, poetic language, and enduring portrayal of love and tragedy." Additional info: Except where historical significance, age, gender or racial specificity are required by the narrative, all actors will be considered for open roles regardless of gender identity, age or race. While casting decisions are subjective and driven by the vision of the director and the creative team, Theatre is committed to a diverse and inclusive cast, crew and staff whenever possible. However, they are often contractually constrained from making substantive changes to characters. While they may actively seek a diverse cast, actors should be prepared to execute portrayals in accordance with the script. All actors will be considered for multiple roles regardless of their choice of side. The sides are attached.
