About the project: “Starfall” follows the adventures of the Carouvel Traveling Acting Troupe - a theatre troupe that uses magical items to create illusions for their shows as they traverse the Falstenian Empire. The story began last season as the troupe was joined by Leona, a young warrior with a mysterious past and even more mysterious powers. With their new guardian in tow, the troupe has already encountered all kinds of dangers and challenges, from theater ghosts to giant crabs to swords falling from the sky, and season two promises more adventures and to build on the world and relationships already established by season one. Preference given to older VAs 6 minisodes; 1 regular season episode Fennel is a recently unemployed traveler, recounting his culinary adventures around the empire in the form of letters to a friend. He is an already-jovial man who finds yet more joy in new experiences and good food. His letters are known for taking winding detours away from the subject of food, and for inflicting the occasional terrible joke on their reader.
This role is only open to LGBTQ+ VAs. 8 episodes Ozzie is an orphaned young woman. She has had to spend the past few years taking care of herself as well as other orphans in a town that doesn’t care for any of them. She often comes across as blunt, bitter, and prickly, with some of this attitude resulting from her unfortunate circumstances, and some of it from just being a teenager.
Preference given to older VAs. 4 episodes Smith is a down on their luck traveler. They’ve had a hard life, and that has ground them down to the point of needing to make some desperate decisions in the hopes of finally being able to afford the trip home. On a good day, they’re a quiet sort, but still willing to share wisdom from their past if it helps others.
5 episodes Fleece is a uniquely powerful servant of the empire. She is zealously devoted to the emperor in particular. Even though she tries to temper her attitude with a sweet voice and good manners, it’s hard not to catch the sinister nature of her words and actions alike.

As the town is still recovering from a widespread illness two years ago, the Keeper is determined to keep his people healthy and community-focused. He comes across as good-natured and welcoming, even to outsiders, so long as they uphold his values of faith and hard work, but is less forgiving of those who step across the line.

She wants to be a good child who’s obedient to her father and follows in her mother’s footsteps, but her relationship with the local outcast has continued to push her beyond her parents’ ideas of good behavior.

Because the theater it embodies is a new building, TT comes across as childish, and is commonly heard throwing disruptive tantrums to try to get its way or when it doesn’t understand the world around it. 1 episode Pechivik is the owner and manager of the Turntinel Theater, an only recently established theater in a young town. It has always been Pechivik’s dream to have a theater and they are very proud of what they’ve accomplished in building it - as well as very harsh on those who have dissenting ideas on how to manage it.
This role is only open to trans and nonbinary VAs comfortable with it/its pronouns. Preference given to older VAs. 1 episode Aldwen is an ancient tree-like fae who hosts an annual fortunetelling event. It speaks in a slow, relaxed manner, but still has a playful relationship with its old friends.
1 episode Rektira is a monstrous wolf-woman who attends a party for the fae. She enjoys good food and company and loves to have a good laugh - but it’s easy for those who aren’t familiar with the fae to see her fangs and hear her growl and only perceive threats.
2 episodes Zenia is a fairy who lives in a flower field. They have a slightly prickly personality, especially when it comes to dealing with humans, and don’t mind having a laugh at others’ expense. NOTE: This character’s voice may be pitched down and altered by other filters to reach an intended result.

3 episodes Ravey is the newest addition to the actors of the Carouvel Troupe, who aspires to be a great actor like his seniors someday. He is very respectful, very handsome, and very much not an intelligent man. His acting ability is also somewhat questionable.

Despite her many obligations, she tries to be kind and obliging to those around her - up to the point where something goes wrong with her family.
2 episodes Finn is an orphaned young man trying to maintain a home for himself and other orphaned children. A friend of the brash and impulsive Ozzie, Finn is the more careful of the duo and acts as the more involved caretaker for the younger kids.
