About the project: This comedic avant-garde short film revolves around a miniature house and its talking walls. When one of the walls is stained, the rest of the house starts theorizing what happened creating an absurd rumour chain. This house is based on family gossip, taking the expression "if walls could talk" to create a never-seen-before type of comedy. The broadcaster of gossip within the household always manages to get first wind of everything. She has a very extroverted personality and is a gossip queen B filled with attitude and sass. She swears there is no ill intent in her actions. So what if she enjoys being an active source of information? There's no harm in that, right?
[Sounds like they are 50-60's (grumpy old man)] Purpura a very mysterious and intuitive character, stubborn in his loyalty always wanting to protect the house. He warns and warns and warns people about the dangers and changes going on in the house, but nobody ever listens to him. It is not like that would ever stop Purpura from saying his opinion. He will be heard even if he has to yell.
One of the most vibrant colours in the house. Well-behaved and well-disciplined, he only speaks when he feels he needs to. He prefers to pay attention to important things rather than just gossip about other’s life. He tries his best to go about his days being unnoticed. He likes to be at peace and refrains from speaking about his private life or that of others, keeping his relationship with Rosa as discreet as possible.
[Sounds like 60+ (wise old man)] Escaleras is one of the oldest characters in the house and in his time has learned to observe and not speak unless he needs to. He says he's not interested in the gossiping but somehow still ends up being the wall with more information than anyone else. Not that anyone would ever know that. He is a master at keeping to himself. His years have made him sound wise and he is a great example of balance, he never wants to overshare or know more than necessary.
Niranjita, one of the youngest of the house, acts and speaks as if she is an old soul. She sees everyone gossiping and knows she is more mature than all of them. She tries to bring as much joy as possible to the house with her vibrancy. She always tries to keep her mature image, learning from her wise father whom she cares deeply for, but she is also loyal to fault. If she ever hears someone talk badly about her. parents, she will always defend them, maturity be damned.
