Dancer/Singer/Actors Wanted For "Elf" The Musical
Auditions for 'Elf the Musical'. Looking for cast. See the breakdown below. About the project: Elf is a musical based on the 2003 motion picture of the same name, with a score by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin and an adapted book from the film by the awarded team of Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan. The musical ran on Broadway during the holiday seasons of 2010-11 and 2012-13 and at the Madison Square Garden Theater in 2017. It also toured the USA between 2012 and 2016 and continues to play in community and professional theaters. William "Buddy" Hobbs, a young orphan child, mistakenly crawls into Santa Claus' bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. After discovering the baby, Santa and his elves decide to raise the child as an elf. Years later, Buddy finds out that he's actually a human being and, at Santa's prompting, heads off to New York City in search of his father, Walter Hobbs. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his birth family and help NYC remember the true meaning of Christmas. The perfect elf; good-natured, happy all the time, discovers he's human; good role for a young man who is an excellent actor, good singer, has movement skills, energy and comic timing; should be taller than the other elves (played by humans); tenor (Bb2-A4)
Buddy's real father, focused on his job and not his family; can be stern and unemotional, but ultimately recommits to his family; strong actor with authoritative presence, yet can show softer side; movement skills a plus; high baritone/tenor (A2-G4)
Walter's secretary who must keep Walter and the office happy; shares her positive attitude with all; character actress with an excellent belt; must move well; alto (C4-C5)
