About the project: Storyline: Based on Louisa May Alcott's 1868–69 semi-autobiographical two-volume novel, it focuses on the four March sisters— traditional Meg, wild, aspiring writer Jo, timid Beth and romantic Amy,— and their beloved Marmee, at home in Concord, Massachusetts, while their father is away serving as a Union Army chaplain during the Civil War. Intercut with the vignettes in which their lives unfold are several recreations of the melodramatic short stories Jo writes in her attic studio. Rate: $700 min/week (see roles), $600 per rehearsal week for all roles. Additional info: Audition Date(s): Self-Tape ASAP Directors will be doing a brief self-tape prior to in-person auditons. To play 20-25. The world-weary, yet hopeful, oldest sister who yearns for a great life. (Vocal Range A#3- Gb5 (Soprano). Pay: $800/week.
To play 16-21. The second youngest sister. Peace-maker, lover, giving and optimistic. (Vocal Range A3-G5 (Soprano). Pay: $800/week.
To play 14-18. The youngest, most energetic sister with a rather pompous air about her. (Vocal Range Cb4-Gb5 (Soprano/Mix), Pay: $800/week.
To play 18-23 years old. The bright-eyed-boy-next-door with considerable charm. (Vocal Range Bb2-Bb4 (Tenor). Pay: $800/week.
