"The Empire Strips Back" - Seeking Dancers
The Empire Strips Back, A Burlesque Parody, seeks dancers for a 12-week engagement in Toronto from late 2023. Seeking Parody Stormtroopers, Parody Han Solos, and Parody Chewbaccas. After sold-out runs in NYC, Chicago, LA and Seattle, we're thrilled to land in Toronto. In-person auditions will be held on Thursday, August 31. Parody Stormtroopers dance the Stormtrooper number as well as numerous other group and solo numbers throughout the show, usually performing 3-4 roles.
Parody Han Solo performs as Han in two numbers (including one where Han is on the mic as a hype man), plus takes on the role of Emperor.
Parody Chewbacca plays Chewie in a dance-off with Han Solo, plus several other roles in the show. Ability to lift 150 lbs required.
