About the project: This is an original production about the infinitely vain and highly intelligent Queen Cleopatra the VII, Queen of Egypt. In this tale, she is faced with certain death from her brother-husband and forced to flee Egypt, collect an army, and plans to reclaim her throne with some help from the Roman, Julius Caesar. After her escape, Cleopatra encounters Romans, Arab leaders, and her own doubting advisors, who all challenge and question her ability to be a leader. Trigger Warnings; Some sword play, some embracing. Rate: Non-Union actors only. Paid-Dependant on grant. Additional information: This script story takes place 2000 years ago and is not a depiction of modern Canadian ideals. A resident of the Greater Victoria area(s) and is certain of being available until November 5th, 2023. The TV taped performance is booked for November 4th 2023. There is no audience. This will be televised later on. Zoom rehearsals for the production will start In September date TBA. In person rehearsals -Victoria (TBA). This is a ‘co-operative venture’ one off TV production.
