"Women of Acadia Street" Student Film Needs Actors

Christine's secret lover, is married. Sensible and loyal. Jeanette is a first-time mother who breastfeeds her 3-5-month-old daughter. She's been married to a suspicious, emotionally abusive husband for five years. She finds solace and security in her secret relationship with her neighbor, Christine. Now more than ever, she feels determined to leave her marriage in order to give her daughter a safe life, and start anew with Christine.

Jeanette's secret lover, married. Loyal and generous. Christine works as a nurse and is stuck in a loveless marriage. She finds comfort and hope in her relationship with Jeanette, and she feels very protective of her and her daughter. While she wants more than anything to be with Jeanette, she finds it more important that Jeanette and her daughter are able to live a life of freedom and happiness.

Kathy's daughter, single. Headstrong and independent. Jackie is a diligent professional who moved back in with her aging mother both to save money and to manage her mother's medical needs. She balances her real love of her mom with her simmering frustration at their living situation and the generational divide between them. Jackie looks in on the neighbor's kids when their dad is out of town.

Jackie's mother, widowed. Defiant and impulsive. Kathy is a proud woman who doesn't want to let go of her independence. Livid at the role reversal she's experiencing with Jackie, she leans into her anger and takes it out on her daughter. She nevertheless loves Jackie and appreciates the sacrifices she's making.
