EMMA NOLANFemale18-29 y.o.All ethnicities

(Mezzo/Alto - A3-E5) to play a high school senior forced into the spotlight because she asked her girlfriend to prom. She is smart, shy, and warmhearted. A reluctant poster child for LGBTQ youth, she struggles to follow her heart against the pressures of the community.

ALYSSA GREENEFemale18-29 y.o.All ethnicities

(Alto/Mezzo - Ab3-Db5) to play a high school cheerleader and top student. She faces constant pressure from her mother and friends to be perfect in all she does. Secretly Emma's girlfriend, she is caught between her feelings for Emma, and letting her mom (and the world) know who she truly is.

DEE DEE ALLENFemale40-56 y.o.All ethnicities

(Alto - E2-D5). A Tony Award-winning actress/diva with a huge ego to match her huge talent. Hilariously self-involved and with no filter, she yearns to do something good for someone other than herself. Believing at first she will be able to increase her celebrity status by championing Emma's cause, with the help of love interest Mr. Hawkins, she instead learns that true charity outshines celebrity.

BARRY GLICKMANMale40-56 y.o.All ethnicities

(Baritone/Tenor - E2-Ab4) . A self-involved Broadway actor eager for celebrity activism to save his flailing career! A Drama Desk award winner and a bit impulsive, he can't help but make a scene everywhere he goes. Completely politically incorrect and doesn't know it, Barry finds a kindred spirit in Emma, taking her under his wing. In longing to give her the prom he never had, he guides her to be true to herself, and proud of who she is.

TRENT OLIVERMale26-40 y.o.All ethnicities

(Baritone/Tenor - D3-Ab4). A pretentious Juilliard graduate recently cast in the non-Equity tour of Godspell (though he is probably best known for his TV sitcom “Talk to the Hand”). Loves theatre to his CORE.

(Alto - C4-C5) 30's & Above. A jaded Fosse girl and ensemble member of the Broadway production of Chicago! She understudied Roxie Hart for years but was sadly never asked to go on for her. Smart, and with a heart of gold, she champions Emma's cause, and teaches her how to live life as Fosse did - with some Zazz!

MR. HAWKINSMale30-56 y.o.All ethnicities

(Baritone/Bass - G2-C4) A star-struck Broadway enthusiast, and the principal of Emma's high school. A man who truly cares about his students, and always does what he can for them. Easily flustered and straightlaced, he is a staunch supporter of Emma, and helps her work towards creating a prom for everyone. Dee Dee's love interest, he also helps her learn about the importance of self-sacrifice and true charity along the way.

SHELDON SAPERSTEINMale20-56 y.o.All ethnicities

SHELDON SAPERSTEIN (Baritone - G2-Ab3). A charismatic press agent and publicist who uses his skills and connections to help build his client's celebrity status. Traveling to Indiana with the four performers, it is thanks to his know how that the audience for Emma's message grows.

MRS. GREENEFemale40-56 y.o.All ethnicities

(Alto - C4-C5). Alyssa's intimidating, conservative, but ultimately loving mother. Head of the PTA and member of the school board, she wants what's best for her daughter, and is committed to maintaining a "traditional" prom.
